CITY OF ROCHESTER UPDATES
Rochester Police Department (RPD) - - Officer Vinnie Agnone- Neighborhood Services
Officer Agnone reported that on 2/28 at 11:45 pm, two individuals were shot at an Airbnb in the 4300 block of Lake Ave. One was critically injured, and one suffered more minor injuries. There were approximately 100 people attending a party there, and upon investigation, officers found bullet casings and rounds of ammunition while searching the home. They have not found the shooter and have no suspects in custody. Currently, there are no city regulations or oversight regarding Airbnbs or VRBOs. At some point, the RPD will discuss the situation with homeowners. One of the neighbors speaking with Jose Peo said he has called 911 several times regarding loud parties at that residence. The noise ordinance requires ‘quiet hours’ 50 ft off the property line after 10 pm and 50 ft. within the property line any time. Typically, an issuance of a noise ticket comes with a fine. If you are not happy with the response you get when contacting RPD, ask to speak with a Supervisor.
There was a report of underage drinking at another Airbnb on the 300 Block of Beach Ave. RPD arrived and dispersed the party.
Rochester Fire Department (RFD) Engine 19- Captain Todd Hodges
No Report.
Northwest Neighborhood Service Center (NSC) - Anna Keller
Clean Sweep is coming up, and if you have a captain to lead a project, she will provide volunteers, tools, and equipment. Teams can leave trash collected at the curb for pickup. Contact Anna at 428-7620 for more information. We appreciate all the help that Anna and her staff provide us.
City Council NW Representative - Bridget Monroe
Bridget will follow up with the City regarding picking up leaves that were not picked up in the Fall.
She will also speak with Jose and Tony Micciche regarding City Codes that need to be improved to protect homeowners and Landlords who are being criminalized while their properties are being destroyed by their tenants, who seem to be more protected by current laws than they are.

The Event Planning Committee is doing a great job enlisting the help of volunteers, organizing the whole event and doing all the decoration prep and preparing gift baskets to raffle off at the event. With music, dancing, great food and a beautiful venture, this should be a wonderful first time event. Thank you to everyone involved.
